Thank You For My Liebster Award.

First of all I want to say a huge, huge thank you to Amy, the writer of the gorgeous beauty and lifestyle blog Get Glam.

Secondly, a little bit about the Liebster Award. Liebster is a German word which has several meanings - beloved, dearest, sweetest, lovely, cute and several more. In the blogging world the Liebster Award is given to new blogs, with less than 200 followers, that you feel other people need to read. It's a great way to get to know people and help out other upcoming blogs just like your own.

The rules are simple. Thank the person who nominated you and share a link to their blog, answer the questions they asked you and list eleven random facts about yourself. Then write eleven questions that you would like your eleven nominees to answer.

My Answers to Jess' Questions
#1 Why did you start blogging and how have you found it so far?
I needed an excuse for keep buying new things! But on a serious note it was because I kept seeing blogs about expensive clothes and beauty products and people who had glamorous jobs and whilst I love designer jewellery and shopping sprees I wanted to write for that everyday girl, hence the name of my blog. That girl who like me, has lots of hobbies, interests and expensive tastes yet has to juggle that with a busy, and not so glamorous, life. I also love to write and take photos which is a bonus! I've loved every minute of blogging so far as I'm getting to talk to new people and share my thoughts on things I'm passionate about.

#2 What are your favourite beauty blogs?
Though her style is very different to mine, I absolutely love Milly, writer of Pearls and Poodles, her instagram is so pretty, as is her blog... she's also recently married so there was so much wedding stuff! Now this other girl is my absolute favourite, I love her style and she is absolutely gorgeous, if you've not heard of her you need to go and have a look now, she is Charissa Rae.

#3 What's been the funniest moment of your life so far?
Wow, this is a hard one! I have so many funny memories that I've made throughout my life with my friends and family but a total blonde moment for me that everyone still laughs about now is that when I was 17, and watching a Christmas movie, I went "OMG those reindeers look so real". Yes, I thought reindeers were make believe.

#4 If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
My OCD! It drives me insane having to count little things and make things perfectly even and symmetrical all the time but it does mean everything I do is always very very neat.

#5 Describe the most interesting day of your life?
So it's a cold winters morning, I woke up and set off to work in the ice and as I went to walk down some steps I slipped, but luckily Ian Somehalder was there and caught me, he then asked for my number but I told him no I had a boyfriend and then he cried. OK, thats I lie but a girl can dream ay? Sorry, no interesting days for me to share.

#6 What's the best beauty tip you've ever been given?
Use old mascara brushes as brow brushes! Life saver! Also, just learning how to apply makeup, correctly. If you're gunna do it, do it right!

#7 What's the biggest beauty mistake you've ever made?
Going Blonde *Cough*GINGER*Cough*
Oh and fake tanning before a night out.. when it was raining!

#8 Describe yourself in one word?
Perfectionist, though others may just say I'm picky and a pain in the arse.

#9 You're stranded on a desert island, what 5 things do you want with you?
A towel as I don't like sand, pinapple mai tais on tap, my bikini so I don't get strap marks, Ian Somerhalder, he survived for quite a while in Lost and my mobile so I can blog about my time on the Island.

#10 If you could change your name to anything what would it be?
I honestly don't know! But my family call me Scooby-doo so I'll go with that.

#11 Do you believe that high end products are always better than budget buys?
Nope. I buy most of my beauty products from drugstores. Don't get me wrong there are some high end products which are worth the money but there are also many budget buys that work just as good as the more expensive ones. For instance I love the Natural Collection Lip Liner for only £1.99 as it lasts all day and comes in so many great colours! Sometimes you're just paying for the name.

11 Random Facts About Me
I love marvels // black is my happy colour // I work with children // I love to cook and bake and eat constantly // I love to talk // I have a teddy called monty // I'm a whiskey drinker // I've broken almost every bone in my left arm // I like to get my own way // I always worry about hurting peoples feelings // I wear size one converse.

I know there isn't 11 here, but being new to blogging I was struggling to find many blogs that were new or hadn't already been nominated. If you have already been nominated I apologise and if I come across any new blogs soon I will be sure to add them to this list.

Fifty Shades Of Grey, Fashion & Film.

First the film. Now I'm going to be honest I didn't read the whole book, only the first 11 chapters, then I got addicted to Netflix. So me being me decided to just wait till the film came out. With so much hype surrounding it I wasn't sure what to expect all I knew is that I was extremely happy to have Jamie Dornan playing Mr Grey. I was unsure however about the casting of Dakota Johnson for Anastasia, she just wasn't what I'd pictured and in the first scene this didn't change but by the end I loved her, Jamie and Dakota had amazing chemistry and made it more of a story about love and commitments not just sex.. Though there was plenty of that too!

Even having only read 11 chapters I did notice parts missing and scenes done differently but I wouldn't say that it's a bad thing, the film worked well just the way it was and the actors made it their own. I won't go into any more detail for those of you that haven't watched it but I really did enjoy this film and would happily watch it again, it had something for everyone.

Now for the fashion. Cheesy as it is I decided I was going to wear grey for this occasion. The bottoms were asda joggers that have simply been cut off  then take up, comfier and much cheaper than the ones in the shops. To smarten this outfit up I went for my loose fit white shirt then added the checked scarf to blend the colours.

Next I wanted heels to lengthen my legs but they needed to be chunky to match the style of the outfit, so these black block heeled ones were perfect. I then used my black hobo bag to go with the black shoes and also because it matched the slouchy yet smart style of this outfit.

I accessorised with Barry M Nail Polish in Grey, silver Marc Jacobs watch and then my Pandora bangle, Thomas Sabo chain and Tiffany bracelet.

Clean Eat Pancakes #JTH

Yesterday I realised it had been a month since I did my post my post on health and fitness. Oops. I think that shows how healthy I've been. But not to worry, its a new day and best of all it's Pancake Day.

Now I love Pancakes, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to share with you my Five Step Clean Eat Pancake Recipe and to kick off the start of my clean eating. This recipe is quick, simple, healthy and delicious and I'm proud to say it's my own.

For The Pancakes You Will Need -
1 Medium Banana
2 Medium Egg Whites
Tablespoon of Honey (Optional)

You Will Also Need -
A Hand Blender (you can use a fork but it will be harder)
A Frying Pan
2 Tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil/Sunflower Oil

---------------------------------------

Step One - Cut 1/2 of the banana into chunks ready to blend and add the egg whites.
(Opptional - slice the remaining to top)

Step Two - Blend the egg whites and banana until smooth.

Step Three - Heat the oil in the pan then pour in the mixture. Leave until the bottom goes brown.

Step Four - Place the pan under the grill to cook the top of the pancake until golden.

Step Five - Transfer on to a plate and top. I tend to go for the remaining banana slices and honey but you could try anything... Blueberries and strawberries taste delicious with it.

I would love to hear from you if you choose to make these pancakes and also if you upload a picture to Instagram, use the hashtag #thateverydaygirlxo so I can check them out!

ENJOY!

What will you be topping your pancakes with today?

Flowers For My Valentine.

Now valentines day isn't something me and Freddie really consider that important, but we do however think it's a good excuse to get dressed up and go out for some food and a few drinks.

For this occasion I chose to wear this navy floral shift dress from Newlook which I have only worn once. The pattern and fit makes this dress suitable for the day time whilst the length dresses it up. I also chose it because I thought the floral design was perfect for valentines day.

I teamed the dress my Newlook camel dress coat as the longer length works well with the shorter dress, adding sophistication to the outfit. The coat also makes the dress look more suitable for this time of year. I then went with a bock heeled shoe boot as I wanted the outfit to go from daytime to nighttime. These were the boots I picked up from Next Clearance, down from £55 to £9. It was the first time I have worn them and they are so comfy. I can't believe how lucky I was to find them.

I accessorised this outfit with my Aldo bag, Marc Jacobs watch and Micheal Kors bracelet. You can dress up any outfit with the right accessories. For my hair I went with soft romantic waves, styled using GHD straighteners and then held with just a few section clips and a spritz of  Silverkrin.

We had such an amazing evening and I finally got to try the Pizza at Zizzi. It was incredible. As was the Fonduta Formaggi, we had for our starter. Our view during drinks was of the Nottingham eye and on the way home my wonderful boyfriend treated me to my favourite flowers (I don't do big bouquets) and this super cute jar of miniature liquorice allsorts from The Treat Kitchen.

What did you do this Valentines Day? I'd love to know.

Happy Valentines Day.

As it is Valentines Day I thought I would do a special post about beautiful bras. A pretty bra can do so much for your confidence, just like any good outfit. It can make you feel sexy, attractive, beautiful. Unfortunately most pretty bras don't provide the best support or they do, but then you can see every lacy lump and bump through your top.

Now I love to buy pretty undies but sometimes it seems a waste to spend so much money on something I will hardly wear, as you can guarantee I'm going to be living in that super smooth strapless push up bra, that is practically invisible under any outfit. Not very sexy but neither is having all your bra on show.

Now I'm sure we can all admit we have a gorgeous, yet slightly useless, bra stashed away somewhere that has hardly ever been worn. So today I have decided to share with you a few of my prettiest bras that wont cost you a fortune. Some completely useless, others not. I hope you enjoy.

Right. I love this H&M bra, it's pretty, sexy... everything you could want for Valentines day, but it literally cannot be worn under anything! It's the frilliest bra ever! But for under £15 I just couldn't say no! I guess I'll just have to buy some really big, chunky knit jumpers to wear over it.

Now this little red number from Primark was only £6 I think and its actually an alright bra. The lace is really pretty but not too bumpy that you can see it through everything , however I would still avoid wearing it under sheer tops or really tight tops. This bra also has some padding giving you that little bit extra oomph. I will say however that it doesn't have the best fit so I wouldn't advise wearing it for an occasion when you will be rushing around or dancing, but overall a gorgeous bra that could be worn day to day.

The fit, the style, the pattern, the price. Asda really got it right with this stunning bra for only £12! It has some slight padding which with the fit and shape of the bra works wonders on you cleavage. The bra is comfy and supportive whilst still looking super sexy on. I don't think it looks cheap whatsoever. This is the one, out of all my pretty bras, that I actually wear quite a lot. Unfortunately the ruched straps and lace trim still make it hard to wear under any strappy, sheer or tight tops.

Finally is this tassled Topshop triangle bra. No support. No padding. Nothing. But lets face it, this is one sexy looking bra! Luckily for us though, you can pick these up pretty cheap. Maybe it has something to do with the lack of fabric? Anyway, if you don't require any support these triangle bras are actually pretty decent. I tend to wear it under jumpers or baggy black tees, as the lace and straps are very smooth so you can barely see it. This bra is so comfy and you can hardly tell it's there. I would advise avoiding ones with tassels though as it gets quite tangled and makes it harder to hide under tighter fitting tops.

I hope you liked this post and weather you're single or in a relationship have a Happy Valentines Day and treat yourself to a gorgeous yet affordable bra!
